And the Count Down Begins...

Well, today I am 31 weeks along so that means only 9 more to go...yay to the single digits! I really don't want to do a count down because I'm afraid it's just going to make these next couple of weeks go by really slow. If I can just forget that in 9 weeks our lives will change drastically again, and we'll finally be able to meet this wonderful little boy, then maybe just maybe it will go by fast.

But really, who can just simply forget those things?

So, I have decided to suck it up and have a continual countdown running in my head.

Right now, this little bubba has decided that sitting breech is what he wants (not what mommy wants...very uncomfortable for mommy). Hopefully, in the up coming weeks he decides to flip around the right way. Mommy's belly button would greatly appreciate it, since that's right where he's head is resting and it HURTS like anything!! Let's hope he gives in soon and doesn't have his Mommy and Daddy's stubborn side and stay that way. I really don't want a C-section. So, please baby listen to your Mommy and flip around!

Maybe I can convince Brandon to take a picture tonight of me and my 31 week prego belly.

My Big Boy

It's hard to think that just a couple of days ago my little boy turned 19 months and that in about 2 more months will be a big brother! We have only been gone from Idaho for about 3 months and this boy has grown sooo much! Some things he has learned since being in Oregon:

- Finally learned how to give kisses with his mouth closed
- Can eat with a spoon (still working on a fork- he can't get the stabbing motion down)
- Can hold a crayon with the tips of his fingers instead of with his whole hand
- Can draw a circle (understands what a circle is)
- Figured out how to gallop by himself
- Can jump
- His dancing skills have gotten WAY better!
- Can say many words, like baby, ball, bird, stinky, dinosaur, uh oh, daddy (still won't say mommy), moon, amen, Jesus, and trying to say a whole lot more!!
- Brandon taught him that passing gas is funny...sigh...
- Learned how to climb onto things to get to other things

He's doing so many other things but those are the ones I remember right now. I've enjoyed watching him grow and can't wait to see how he continues to grow and learn. He's going to be such a great big brother!! :)

Ode to Idaho

Well...I never thought I would say this but...I want to be back in Idaho. I am ready for this "adventure" to be over. This tiny apartment, which started off as being comfy and intimate (well as intimate as you can get with an 18 month old), has now turned into cramped and irritable. There is no privacy, no room to just sit and think by yourself (unless you consider sitting on the toilet a place), no place to cool off after a heated argument. And the boredom...oh the boredom, if you ever wanted to kill someone by boredom send them here! It rains pretty much everyday so going outside is out of the question, so basically the way David beats his boredom is by getting into things that he's not supposed to. Like the trash. I have never seen a child so interested in throwing things away or picking through what has already been thrown away. We have lost so many things because he decided he wanted to throw it away and I didn't check it in time. We almost lost one of his shoes (I had to go digging through the garbage that was already outside to find that one). And because of this fascination, I am beginning to feel like the worst mother in the world. I feel like all I do is yell now. Nothing keeps this boy out of the trash...we have tried spanking and time-out...he knows he's not supposed to go in there but it's like some force is pushing him into it. I HATE it! I want to be in a place where we can block him out of the kitchen. I feel like a terrible wife and mother for saying this...but I want to be in a place where I can get away from both my husband and my child. For just a little bit. I am ready to see friends, have game night, and get out of this mold infested place!

Did I mention my phone is now broken (apparently it couldn't handle all the abuse from David), and the sound on our TV turned off tonight. Don't ask me why...I tried everything. And yes, I did check the "mute" button on the remote. The TV...my only source of entertainment that keeps me from going completely insane during the day and keeps David occupied while I get a shower or things done around the house, is now gone. We only have a month left, but I'm not sure I'm going to make it...

Pictures as promised

Sorry the pictures are so bad...obviously I am not a photographer.
But...here is his face (the nose and mouth area are easiest to see)
He looks like David already! :)
And...the award winning shot...most definitely a boy!! :)

It's a...

BOY!!! We finally were able to find out what we were having yesterday, and I am absolutely thrilled that it is another boy! Now David can have a play mate! The doctor says that everything looks great. He's already weighing in at 1 lb 12 oz and measuring around 25 weeks. I'm only 24 weeks along but the doctor says that's normal for a big baby which it looks like he's going to be!! YAY!!! I'm so excited about that too...call me crazy, but I love over 8 lb babies. I was worried at first that this one wasn't going to be because I wasn't gaining any weight (I went about 18 or 19 weeks without gaining anything), and with David I was gaining steadily all throughout, but now I don't really have to worry! The doctor also says that he already has hair which I really can't wait to see! Ahh...see my baby on that screen really made this whole pregnancy very real to me and now I CAN'T wait to see this little guy and get to know him. From his profile he looks exactly like David! I could deal with a little mini-me David! :) Pictures will come shortly when I can get my camera up and running!

Brandon and I do have some names picked out, but they are not set in stone just yet so this little guy will go nameless for a little while longer. We still have lots of time, but we will have a name before he is born!
