Too Scary
Out here in the little town of Sherwood, they do not have a Walmart! Can you believe that?! I couldn't...anyways, they have a place called Fred Meyer. Brandon and I are from the east so neither one of use new what this place was about, so one day we decided to check it out. It's basically like a Walmart. So we are browsing around when we see the Halloween section. We hadn't decided what we wanted David to be for Halloween yet so we decided to head over there and look at some costumes. Well, they had this huge blow up black cat and spider hanging from the ceiling and just recently David has developed a great love for cats. We thought he would love to see this big cat hanging down from the ceiling...boy were we wrong! He wanted absolutely nothing to do with this thing. He wrapped both arms around Brandon's neck and hung on for deal life, and whenever Brandon tried to turn him so he could see he started fussing and crying. Well, a couple of days later I had to get some supplies from there so we went back. As soon as David saw those things from a distance he started to freak out. He literally tried to climb out of the cart and into my arms! So we have decided, sadly, that there will be no Halloween for us this year. Our ward is doing a tri-trunk-or-treat with the other two wards that are in our building. They are doing contests to see who can decorate their trunk the best so we figured someone is going to do something scary. We don't want to scare the boy even more than he already is so no fun for us. I'm going to miss all that free candy though...and seeing how cute and adorable David would be in a costume. :( I still would like to carve pumpkins though.

The Goodness of Heavenly Father...
These last couple of weeks for me have been pretty rough. I'm not going to explain everything...but just know that it was the lowest I've been in a long time. I had probably hit rock bottom...and I'm not sure even Brandon knew how depressed I was. I just wasn't happy with anything. Well, this past Sunday was fast and testimony Sunday. Brandon and I got into a fight before going to church, so I was in an even bigger mess than before. I didn't want to have anything to do with the church at that moment because everyone was expressing how happy they were and how much they knew Heavenly Father loved them. I just sat there and listened...thinking my own depressing thoughts. As we got closer to the end, a women stood up and bore her testimony on reading the Book of Mormon in 60 days (it had been a challenge between her sister and her). She expressed how reading the Book of Mormon made her burdens feel light and she wasn't as sad as she had been before. She challenged the rest of the congregation to another 60 day challenge she was starting. The rest of the meeting I thought about her words and finally decided I needed to give it a try.
It was a battle, at first, to get started...always thinking there were better things to do then sit down and read the scriptures (see I was bad...), but I finally sat down while David took a nap and opened them and started to read. Today has been the 3rd day and let me tell you, I feel great! The problems are still there but I know now they can be overcome. I don't feel as frustrated or depressed...I know David enjoys me yelling at him less...and I can feel Heavenly Father's love for me. I marvel at the goodness of Heavenly Father. Even though we might not be doing what we are supposed to be doing, as soon as we show a little bit of faith and start to turn back to Him, He is right there ready to pour out love and blessings to you. If only people could be as forgiving as He is.
I still have very far to go, but I plan on sticking with it and I know my life will be mine again.

For all of you who don't know...
We are living in Oregon now! Brandon got an amazing internship with Intel...and when I say amazing, I mean amazing!!! The pay is...well lets just say if he's getting this much for an internship I would love to see how much he gets for a regular job! Unfortunately, we aren't going to be here long enough to fully see the benefits of that great pay. But it will be just long enough to replenish our savings account, which has been in desperate need of replenishing. So far the weather has been great! The first couple of days it rained but since then, nothing but sunshine! David is definitely loving the bigger backyard we now have...
These are actually one of the few good pictures I have gotten...he never wants to stand still long enough to get a decent picture, so I'm happy I have these. We have decided we need to get a better camera, one with a faster shutter. I'm getting really tired of blurry pictures!
Anyways, we are loving Oregon. However, the apartment we are staying in has a little mold and apparently I am allergic so these next couple of months will be rough on me. (I know there are some allergy medicine that is safe to take while being pregnant, but I'm the type of person that would rather not risk it) So, since I could have some relief and choose not to then that is all the complaining you will hear from me!
So far, baby is doing well...for all I can tell. I haven't had an appointment with a doctor since the end of August (moving and canceling insurance and then waiting for insurance has really backed that up). However, the baby is moving frequently and the kicks are getting harder and harder, so I can only assume that everything is going well. Brandon was finally able to feel the baby kick the other night! We still don't know what we are having...which is driving me crazy...but I'm half tempted to wait and let it be a surprise only because we have gone this long then maybe we should just go all the way. What do you think?!

Picture Catch Up.
Well...it's been a while since I posted pictures of David so he's a little catch up of him and the funny things he has done!
David wanted to wear my shorts...they kind of look like a dress! Sorry the picture is not the right way (for some reason the computer won't let me fix that)
He was super tired one day after church and we found him this way fast asleep with his glow worm!
We found David in my shoes...he wants to be a big boy so bad!
Brandon wanted a picture of all of David's balls...David loves his balls! We have since then added to his collection!
He loved the splash park.
He doesn't normally keep things on his head so this picture is special...he is wearing my ear warmers. Please excuse the sleeping bags in the background, we just got back from camping.
Here is David loving the animal crackers we got him....

Forgot to mention...
I am such a terrible wife... I forgot to mention that while we were home Brandon and I celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary!!! Wahoo 3 years!!!! It's definitely been tough at some points, but it has been amazing! And I'm happy to say that Brandon and I are still very much in love and excited that we will be together to time and eternity!! We celebrated this anniversary by going to the temple and doing a session in the temple we were married in...and then we had Brandon's parents watch David so we could go out to eat alone. This was only the second time we've gone out to eat without David, and it was so weird not having to worry about putting things too close to the edge or worried about food flying or David talking too loud. It was great, but I think we both missed David because we rushed home as fast as we could. :) Anyways, we are excited about this next year and what it will bring.
